This Privacy Policy describes how Christopher Guindon ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit chrisguindon.com (the "Site").
Information I Collect
Analytics Data
I use Google Analytics 4 (operated by Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the Site. When you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects:
- Pages you visit and how long you spend on them
- Your approximate geographic location (country/region level)
- Your browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
- Referring website or search engine
- A randomly generated client identifier (not your IP address)
Google Analytics does not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. IP anonymization is enabled. No advertising or remarketing cookies are used.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by declining cookies when prompted or by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Server Logs
The Site is hosted on Netlify (Netlify, Inc.). Netlify automatically collects standard server log data, including your IP address, browser user agent, and the pages you request. This data is used for security and operational purposes. See Netlify's Privacy Policy for details.
DNS
Domain name resolution for the Site is provided by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). Cloudflare may process DNS query data as described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Local Storage
The Site stores your cookie consent preference and theme choice (dark/light mode) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

How I Use Your Information
Analytics data is used solely to:

Data Retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Netlify server logs are retained according to Netlify's data retention policies.

Under Quebec's Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information I hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate personal information

- Request deletion of your personal information

The Site is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
